Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
